Ingredients for Idada Recipe from Idli Batter

1 cup Idli Batter (non-fermented)

1/2-inch piece of Ginger (grated)

1 Green Chilli (chopped)

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp Oil

1/4 tsp Eno (Fruit Salt)

1 tsp Water

For Garnishing

a pinch of Black Pepper powder

a pinch of Red Chili powder

Instructions

Take a large mixing bowl and pour idli batter in it.

Add ginger, green chili, oil, and salt, and mix well.

Add fruit salt and water and gently mix in one direction.

Pour the prepared mixture into a grease thali and spread evenly.

Sprinkle black pepper and red chili over the top.

Put the thali in a steamer for 8-10 minutes or until the knife or toothpick comes out clean.

Remove the thali from the steamer.

When the idada is cool down, cut the square or rectangle pieces and serve with green chutney.
