Add sugar and water to a pot.

Boil it on medium flame until it reaches single-string consistency.

Check a small portion of the syrup with a spoon and take it in between your thumb and forefinger.

Move the fingers away from each other and see a single string.

Pour lemon juice, saffron, and cardamom powder, aside from the heat, and stir it.

Voila! your sugar syrup is ready!

Guidelines for frying Jalebis

Set the flame on medium to high heat and make sure that the oil or ghee is hot.

Squeeze the jalebi batter gently in circular motions starting from the center and moving outside.
