Ingredients for Khaman Dhokla Recipe

For Dhokla

Leftover Idli Batter

Gram Flour

Ginger-Green Chilli paste

Salt & Sugar

Lemon Juice

Oil

1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder

a pinch of Hing/Asafoetida

Mustard seeds

White Sesame Seeds

For Garnishing

Chopped Coriander Leaves

Grated Coconut

Instructions

Prepare Dhokla

Take a large mixing bowl and add gram flour and idli batter. Mix well

Add ginger-chili paste, sugar, salt, lemon juice and turmeric.

Heat water in a steamer. 

Pour the batter into the dhokla pan and place it in the steamer.

Cook for 5-6 minutes or until the knife comes out clean.

Take the dhokla out of the pan on a serving plate.

Prepare Tadka

Heat oil in tadka pan.

Add mustard seeds. When the seeds start crackling, turn off the flame and add hing, and sesame seeds.

Pour this tadka mixture into the prepared dhokla.

Garnish the delicious idli batter dhokla with coconut and coriander leaves.
